Biggleswade RUFC

On Wednesday night the Rugby Club met to discuss the circumstances leading to Mike Adams leaving the club and the reason he has been banned. We also discussed the damage caused by his blog called “Corruption and Lies at Biggleswade Rugby Club” and the impact this has had on Alan Hilditch, Simon Rutt, Jess Andrews and their families. 

Alan and Simon have been involved with the club for 30 years playing for most of those years and both have captained sides. Simon was secretary for 16 years. Alan looked after sponsorship and fund-raising. He has over the years raised a huge amount of money for the club and his company Satchells Estate agents have been generous sponsors. Jess is a loyal club member and has also served as club treasurer.

During this meeting we looked at minutes from historical meetings and considered evidence provided by Alan.

Biggleswade Rugby Club fully support Alan, Simon and Jess. The club acknowledges that after legal action, Mike Adams has removed his blog. 

The Club is delighted that it can now return to what it does best; playing rugby for all ages and all abilities and having the opportunity to enjoy our great game.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: Mike Adams is previous recipient of a club Honours Tie. We would like it to be publicly stated that following his actions, this honour has been revoked.
