🔴 Friday Night Lights at Biggy gave the Senior Men and their coaching team some useful game-time action yesterday, in preparation for the season ahead.
Biggy Reds won a closely-fought contest against Biggy Whites in the inter-club match played under the floodlights.
Biggleswade's Head Coach Shane Manning said: "I was really pleased with the intent shown by everyone. One the most pleasing things was the fact we used our structure and starter plays well but still played what was in front of us and when it was on to attack they did.
"There will be some tired lads today as it was a really physical and there's always a bit more sting in the hits when you're playing against your team mates.
"A few players played really well; Dan Eidmans at 10 had a great debut, both 9s played well, and some of the more experienced players such as Del Tribbeck, Tom Richardson and Tom Anderson impressed. We aren't where we want to be by any stretch, but it was a step in the right direction."
🔵 Men's Training continues every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm, and the 1st and 2nd XVs have pre-season friendlies lined up for Sep 19 before the season begins on Sep 26.
