🏆 What an fantastic evening for our mixed U10s Minis, who showed amazing fortitude and rugby skills to top the table at Hertford Rugby Football Club's Floodlit Festival on Saturday evening.
"The weather was horrendous but the kids absolutely loved it!" said U10s Head Coach Trevor Garvey.
"It was the first time we have played in a competitive environment where the kids were aware that scores were being kept, and I'm very proud to say we won all four games beating Hertford, Datchworth, Welwyn and Royston.
"But the best thing was the way the players came together to form a true team and took it all in as one," said Trevor.
💗 To make the evening even more memorable, Biggy U10 Lowenna also won the TREDS trophy for the whole age group, awarded to the player who best demonstrated the core values of rugby throughout the evening. She'd been spotted by the Hertford Chairman providing amazing support for her teammates throughout the festival, bouncing up and down the sidelines cheering them on when subbed off, in a great demonstration of how the team is always there for eachother.
🌧Thanks to Hertford RFC for hosting and to all the other clubs for turning up and playing in such good spirits on an extremely wet and windy night.
Congratulations to all the Biggy players and coaches for making the club proud!
