Following the announcement that Central Beds has gone into Tier 4, we are sorry to inform you that the club has had to close.
Due to the escalation of the coronavirus pandemic, the club and its grounds will remain closed with immediate effect from today (Saturday 19 December) for a period of at least two weeks. This will be reviewed on 30 December.
Members are reminded that no rugby, squash, any sport or other activity is permitted during this period either at the club or on any of the club grounds, including Sheep Walk. The car park will be locked over this period and no member should attend the club or its grounds other than in the course of specific maintenance or agreed other duties. All other buildings including the gym and kit containers will also be locked and no access is permitted during this period.
Further updates as to the re-opening will be provided via the website news and our social media pages.
This is incredibly disappointing news, just as we were getting back into adapted training and with the propect of games (with safety-led rule changes) coming up. Sadly the increasing numbers of cases and the subsequent danger of the NHS being unable to cope means that we all have to do our bit and comply with the rules and guidelines so that everyone - particularly the elderly and other vulnerable people in our community - can stay safe.
