Touch Rugby tournament teams 2019

The club's annual touch rugby tournament proved a great success again this year. The summer league, which ran throughout June and July, featured mixed teams, with players and coaches from Biggleswade's senior mens, ladies and youth sides, plus friends and family taking part.

Oddbods were crowned champions (clocking up the most overall points, plus the highest number of tries scored and least number of tries conceded). Biggleswade Nine Nine were given the Most Improved Team award and No Rucks Given took the coveted wooden spoon and prosecco prize. All the teams celebrated with a post-match barbecue and some beers on one of the hottest nights of the year.

A huge thanks to everyone who helped, including: Jack Unite for organising; Graham Place for preparing the pitches; team captains for rounding up the troops; all the players who reffed games; and Charlotte and Sam for the food and bar duties.
