Welcome back, Shane Manning!

The club is thrilled to announce the appointment of Shane Manning as Head Coach. Shane brings immense coaching talent and unwavering passion for the game, impressing us with his player and game ethos.

Club chairman Pete Richards said, "After seven years away, Shane’s return is a welcome sight. Both he and the club have grown and learned a lot over the years - something that became very clear in our discussions. 

“Biggleswade RUFC is on an amazing journey, and we are confident that Shane has the unique skills and vision to help all players at our club reach their full potential.

“Passion is not something you can fake, and was obvious to everyone during the appointment process that Shane has a genuine passion for the game, the role, and the Biggy vision.”

Shane, an experienced coach, whose background includes playing rugby to Premier club level in his native New Zealand, said, “I’m really looking forward to joining Biggs. From the conversations I’ve had, it’s clear that the club is moving in an exciting direction both on and off the field. 

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to help some really talented players maximise their potential. But, of course, nothing happens in rugby without hard work, so let’s roll on with the pre-season!”
