This week we welcomed a group of 11–14 year olds from 1st Haynes and Wilstead Scout Group to Biggleswade Rugby Club for a fun-filled coaching session led by our brilliant volunteer coaches 🙌

The Scouts got stuck into kicking, passing and tackling drills, learning the game in an enjoyable and supportive environment. The session was part of the Rugby Football Union partnership with Scouting, which has seen the RFU sponsor the Scouts’ Physical Recreation badge. The initiative is helping young people get active, try rugby and build key life skills through team sport.

Biggy U13s coach & Scout Leader Gareth Jenkinson said: “Rugby’s core values of TREDS – Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship – make it a fantastic sport for young people. The feedback from the kids and parents was really positive, so hopefully some will continue their rugby journey with us!”
