Biggleswade RUFC

It is with deep sadness that we received the news of the passing of Biggleswade and Potton rugby stalwart Clive Wilson.

Clive played rugby for both clubs over many years, and in more recent times was a keen supporter of the Biggleswade Men's 1st team, regularly running the line for us both home and away just a few seasons ago - sometimes in his trademark cardigan!

He was also a fan of a number of other sports, and was involved in a wide range of local clubs and organisations at a playing and coaching level, from cub football to vets' cricket. Anyone who wants to see how loved and respected he was just needs to look at the scores of comments on this Facebook post, where the most common words used to describe him include 'lovely', 'legend' and 'gentleman'.

Condolences to Clive's two sons John & Paul and their families. 

The funeral will be held at 3.00pm on Wednesday 22 September at North Herts Crematorium, Holwell, followed by a wake at the John O’Gaunt Golf Club, Sutton. All are welcome.
