Following extensive consultation and guidance from the RFU, the start of the competitive community rugby season has been delayed across England until the week commencing Monday, 21 September.

What does this mean for Biggleswade RUFC?

🏉 SENIOR MEN: The first Men's 1sts & 2nds league matches of the new season will now take place on Sep 26. Previously scheduled league games due to be played on Sep 12 and 19 will be rearranged on free Saturdays later in the season.
Pre-season Men's friendlies currently arranged for Aug 21 and Sep 5 will go ahead if ground inspections and strict safety risk assessments are passed. Watch this space for confirmation.

🏉 WOMEN: The Women's Inner Warrior League starts later (the first match is on Oct 18) so will not be affected by the RFU's announcement.
🏉COLTS: The Colts' league games don't start until the end of September, so will be unaffected. Their first friendly is on Sep 12 and will go ahead if local conditions meet the safety criteria.

🏉 Mini & Youth Sunday Rugby: Sunday training will begin as planned on Sep 6, with RFU guidance being followed on modifying contact activity (within applicable age groups) on hard ground. Competitive age-grade matches will start on Sunday Sep 27.

🏉 TRAINING: Pre-season/scheduled early season training across the club for all age groups is unaffected by this delay, apart from sessions being adapted until ground and weather conditions change.

As always, please keep an eye on our social media and website for updates and more details on games closer to the dates.
