A polite reminder to all club users, we operate a No Dogs policy

Please remember to advise visiting players and families when arranging fixtures and Kick off times etc.

Biggleswade RUFC - BRUFC Dog Policy

No Dogs

To avoid disappointment please leave dogs at home, or keep them in the car whilst watching at Biggleswade Rugby Club

If you do wish to bring your dogs, Biggleswade Rugby Club is just off  The Biggleswade Green Wheel, which is a walking and cycling circuit around Biggleswade, passing through areas of landscape, heritage and wildlife interest. The wheel encircles the town with a number of access ‘spokes’ linking areas of the town to the ‘rim’, and has been developed by Central Bedfordshire, and Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity (BRCC) with support from Biggleswade Town Council.

To access the Green wheel head out of the main gate and cross the road to go up Sheepwalk lane, or turn left and left again towards Broom, maps can be found below.

Is dog mess a health hazard?

Apart from being an unpleasant nuisance if you step in it, dog mess can also be a health hazard.  We understand most dog owners clean up after their dogs, but is this enough?

Dog and cat faeces can contain the eggs of the roundworm ‘Toxocara’. These eggs can survive in the soil for several years. If they are ingested or inhaled by humans, they may cause eye, liver, brain and respiratory problems such as asthma, hepatitis and epilepsy.

Children playing in fouled areas are most at risk.
