Biggleswade Ladies enjoyed a pre-season inter club training session when they welcomed Bedford Blues Women to Langford Road on Monday night (see photos). The two teams paired up for fitness drills plus touch and contact games, with some great effort put in by both sides.
Next up for the Ladies is a home friendly before the start of their first season in the Womens NC2 Midlands (Central) League.
It's great to be able to gather and enjoy sport together once again, so friends, family, and anyone who fancies watching women's rugby should come along to watch. And there's good news for hungry spectators: this season, the club is offering pre-booked Sunday lunch deals prior to kick-off at every Ladies' home game, including friendlies, so make sure you message Charlotte Tysom on 07305 572509 by Friday lunchtime before the relevant match to book your dinner (served from 1pm). The cost is £10 for adults and £5 for U12s, which includes Sunday lunch and a dessert. Dinners served from 1pm
SUN 12 SEP - HOME FRIENDLY: Biggy Ladies line up at home for a pre-season friendly against Welwyn Ladies. Kick-off 2pm. Sunday lunch available.
