Biggleswade RUFC's talented youngsters had plenty to celebrate when they finally got to play against another club today - becoming cup-winners with their first match back after lockdown.
Biggy U7s, U8s, U9s, U10s, U11s and U12s all played hotly-contested games versus sides from Rushden & Higham RUFC and ran out worthy winners of the Golden Jubilee Cup.
"There was some great rugby played across all age groups," said Minis & Youth Chair Matt Lindley. "Having had a stop start season with all the lockdowns and restrictions in place, the kids loved finally being able to play against another club, with the added bonus of winning the cup for the first time since 2008."
