Every year, the Natwest RugbyForce Weekend sees rugby-loving volunteers all over the country turn up, roll and carry out repairs, maintenance, and other jobs vital to the infrastructure and upkeep of their local club.

This year, the event has been postponed from June due to the pandemic, but the new date has now been fixed. Biggleswade Rugby Club will be welcoming club members, friends, relatives, and any other volunteers on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September.

As we have done since lockdown began in March, we will be following Government Coronavirus guidelines to make sure all activities fall within guidelines present at the time of the event to ensure the safety of all participants. As we write this, we envisage that jobs will need to be carried out outside in the open air, which could include painting, mowing, cleaning and tidying.

You don’t have to have any particular skills to take part, and you don’t have to be able to devote a whole weekend - even just an hour is helpful! The RugbyForce Team plan to assemble between 10am and 12 noon, and between 1pm and 3pm on both days.

To find out more, and to let us know when you will be available so jobs can be planned in advance, please contact: graham@biggleswaderugby.co.uk.
