Girls' Rugby Start Date:

Sun Sep 7 - U12s, U14s and U16s
Sun Sep 14 - U18s (but Tuesday training sessions are already up and running).
Girls rugby is back, and with the Red Roses putting in inspiring performances in the World Cup it’s the perfect time for girls to get into the sport.
But what’s the set up for Girls at Biggleswade Rugby Club?
When it comes to the lower age groups it’s simple - girls and boys are all in mixed teams up to and including the U11s.
From U12s up, it gets a little more complicated! From this age, they split, and the girls go into U12s, U14s, U16s and U18s age band groups.
In order to make up full sides, rugby clubs often join up to form ‘Cluster Clubs’ for their girls, with club sides training and playing as one team, and sharing out the ‘home’ fixtures between the clustered sides.
This is what Biggleswade Girls do - and we’ve made this handy graphic for you showing the different age groups, different clusters, and different training days and venues.
Our Girls only need to pay one membership (with Biggleswade RUFC).
They also need to register or re-register with Biggleswade AND with the relevant Cluster Club (Bedford Junior Blues for the U12s, U14s and U16s, Hitchin for the U18s). They can do this via GMS - if you have any questions or issues about registering or re-registering, the RFU's Community Rugby Help resource (help.rfu.com/support/home) has lots of useful information, answers to FAQs, and 'how to' guides and videos (Use the search box!).
