A hardy bunch of players and supporters braved the changeable weather on Saturday for fun and games at the club at the Biggleswade Carnival Touch Tournament. Younger children joined in with some rugby-themed races, drills and silly games, whilst older children and adults of varying skill and experience levels got the chance to run around and play friendly touch rugby games.
Highlights were a jinking run from groundsman Graham Place in his work boots (which for some reason made every player on the pitch double up with laughter), an impromptu competition of 'just how many people can shelter from a downpour under one gazebo?'), and some overly thorough, empty-the-whole-bucket soakings in the stocks.
Thanks to the carnival and club helpers who gave up their time.
