Our special charity event, The Matt King Memorial Game, is all set to go ahead on Sunday (2 Jan), with an outside marquee, hot food, and an outside bar serving hot, cold and alcoholic drinks. The match kicks off at 11am.
The event is in honour of former Biggleswade minis and youth rugby player Matt King, OBE, who packed an extraordinary amount of life and achievements into his 33 years. Entry will be free but the club is asking for a £5 voluntary donation to help raise money for a great cause - Variety, the Children’s Charity.
Please note: The clubhouse will be closed apart from access to toilets for spectators and changing rooms for the players in order to make the environment as Covid-secure as possible. The marquee will provide shelter from the elements, there will be some lovely warming grub for sale (with all profits going to the charity)
We want to encourage as many supporters as possible to come down, watch the match and socialise safely, so grab your bobble hat, tell your friends, and we’ll see you pitch side!
