❤️💙 What a day at the club!
We held our Minis and Youth Awards plus the Northampton Saints Foundation U15s regional match day on Sunday - so the club was packed with people, all there to celebrate young players and future stars of rugby. It couldn't have happened without an amazing team of Biggy people working incredibly hard.
What a thrill it was for the Biggy youngsters to be presented with their trophies by former Biggy Mini and now Saints star Tom Litchfield - whose name is still etched on the U9s shield he handed out today. A huge thank you to him for sparing his time to make today so special for the young players.
Tom also presented some adults' awards:
- Malcom Carlisle Trophy for Minis and Youth Coach of the Season: Ross Taylor
- Unsung Hero for behind the scenes work for Minis & Youth: Hazel Cole
- Clubman of the Year: Dan Rogers
"Massive thanks to all of the volunteers, players, coaches and staff for the amazing work on what was a fantastic festival of rugby. Our great Biggy club team showed exactly what community rugby is all about," said club Chairman Pete Richards.
"Players (and parents) had great stories for Monday morning at school meeting Tom. So proud of rugby and even more proud of Biggy Rugby!"
Pete and Biggy Colts coach Mike Lewis also coach Saints Foundation, so were swapping over hats and shirts during the day...(see final photo).
More photos from today to come!
