For the first time this upcoming season we’re able to offer rugby-based fun for really young fans at Biggleswade Rugby Club. We’ve teamed up with First Try, who will be running specially-tailored sessions for kids ages 2 to 5, where the focus will be on fun and games to keep the teeniest rugby players happy.

First Try are currently looking for energetic and enthusiastic people aged 16+ to join their coaching team for the sessions based in Biggy on Sunday mornings from September. No qualifications are needed as First Try will provide training along with the DBS certificate required by the club. Payment will be made to coaches by First Try - and this could be an ideal opportunity for some of our own youth players to gain valuable experience coaching and earn themselves a bit of cash.

Our thriving minis and youth sessions already cater for Under 6s (with players turning six in the school year) and all the teams up through the age grades. But First Try sessions may be ideal for younger brothers and sisters, or any kids who just can’t wait to get playing with an egg-shaped ball.

Email Cerys (gregory.cerys@gmail.com) if you are interested in coaching or if you have a little player who wants to give the sessions a go!
