What a fab day of women’s rugby at Biggy yesterday!
It was Biggleswade RUFC’s turn to host the Inner Warrior fixture on home turf, and our club played a blinder both on and off the pitch.
Biggy Women teamed up with players from Hitchin Ladies, March Bears and Cantabs to take on a combined St Ives, Ely Tigers and Cambridge Women side. Determined to get their names on the scoresheet, the Biggy players didn’t disappoint the home supporters, with tries from Teri, Lucy, and Elsinea.
Home and visiting fans were treated to a delicious free buffet before the game, thanks to the generosity of Matchday Sponsor L.F. Jarvis & Son.
A big shout out too for our hardworking club staff and volunteers inside in the bar, café, kitchen and outside preparing and maintaining the pitches after some challenging weather – events like these simply wouldn’t happen without you.
