More than 100 young boys and girls from our Biggleswade RUFC’s minis teams represented their club at today’s Bedford Junior Blues Festival of Minis.
Players from the U7s through to the U11s were all a credit to the club, showing their skills, determination and teamwork - and above all else, their love of rugby.
Thanks to all our brilliant volunteer coaches, and our supportive parents, all of whom make up the Biggleswade Rugby Club family. Well done to everyone who played their part today, and thanks to Bedford for hosting.
Here are some of our coaches’ comments:
Liam: “The U7s fielded 2 teams today and each team absolutely smashed it! They worked together so well, and their tagging, passing and pressure play in closing down the opposition was great. They represented and made our club proud with their manners and fair play. It was a great day out!”
Monte: “Biggy’s U8s had two teams playing today at the festival and the kids were phenomenal. Top tries, tagging & teamwork!”
Brett: “A huge ‘well done’ to the two U10s teams, who showed everyone that Biggy is a club where rugby is played as it should be. Fantastic team work by all.”
Ryan: “Congratulations to the Biggleswade U11 squad who fielded two teams that ran riot today. We had lots of compliments for our breakdown, counter rucking and jackalling skills. along with our ‘joué’ in attack, with lots of tries. The teamwork and positive ethos was seen throughout the tournament as this hilarious bunch showed wonderful teamwork, resilience, defence - and even dancing when KPOP Demon Hunters came on! Well done everyone.”
