What an amazing day playing rugby and meeting up with friends new and old at the Matt King and Ivan Couchman Memorial Day Match.
The game was played in the true spirit of rugby, and it was fabulous to see so many spectators on what was a very chilly Biggy mound! Look out for more posts about the day, but for now - a huge thank you to everyone involved in honouring Biggleswade legends Matt and Ivan - they would have loved it!
Charlie Beech, Matt’s friend, fellow player, and instigator of the fun memorial match, said: "The game today was a true reflection of what Matt and Ivan were all about - turning up, trying your hardest and having fun while doing it.
"Every single person who took to the pitch gave it everything, and all those who turned up to support had a great time watching some quality rugby - alongside the odd 'not so quality' moment!
"Thank you to everyone who got involved, in whatever capacity - it meant the world to all of us, but especially the Couchman and King families."
