The club has heard the extremely sad news that Simon Small passed away on Thursday 11th of July 2024.

Our thoughts are with all the Family and Friends at this sad news.

Alex has shared this message regarding the funeral arrangements, on the 9th of August.

Dear All

It is with a broken heart that I can confirm my brother died of an acute stroke. We all know the way he lived could have resulted in all manor of outcomes, many times over, thankfully it ended peacefully for him.

Simon’s funeral will take place at St Swithuns Church, Sandy at 11am on the 9th August 2024. He will be cremated shortly thereafter, privately, at North Herts Crematorium.

We would encourage all those who wish to attend to dress casually, as ever he did himself. Denim more than welcome as he will, of course be wearing his best jeans.

The Wake will be held at The Bell pub in Sandy, immediately after, where my mum, family and I whole heartedly invite you all to come along and raise a glass (or two) for Simon with us. After all, he was partial to a beer!

It will be family flowers only, yet any donations in lieu of flowers, in memory of Simon, should be made to Stroke Association UK
or Seamers Funeral Directors.

Our extended thanks to you all, for the overwhelming outpour of love and support the family has received.

Alex
